E-commerce deliveries have a carbon footprint. That's why we support cutting-edge companies that remove carbon from the air.
Here's how it works: For each order we receive, a formula is used to calculate the estimated transportation emissions. Based on these estimates, a portion of our revenue is donated to carbon removal companies that have been vetted by Carbon Direct scientists. These companies use this money to eliminate the amount of carbon generated by our shipments. The additional funds are used to further develop carbon removal technologies.
Heirloom's direct air capture technology enhances the carbon mineralization process. Heirloom technology accelerates the rate at which natural minerals capture CO₂ rather than using energy-intensive fans to suck in air.
Remora captures CO₂ from the exhaust pipes of semi-trailers while they are driving, with the CO₂ intended for long-term storage.
Charm captures CO₂ using plant waste, converts it into a stable, carbon-rich liquid, and stores it safely underground, out of reach of wildfires and soil erosion.
